TERMS OF TRADE WITH RESPECT TO SPECIALLY IMPORTED UNITS:
PRE-OWNED IMPORTED VEHICLES:
Customers are advised that due to import licence quota restrictions with respect to Japan Direct Limited (JDL), the following conditions apply for the purchase of all pre-owned imported vehicles :
- Each foreign pre-owned vehicle ordered from JDL is to be imported under the name of the purchaser (consignee), utilizing an approved import licence from the ministry of Industry and Trade in the name of the individual (purchaser/consignee). The customer.consignee assumed all responsibility in applying for and supplying to JDL, said import licence so as to process this transaction/purchase.
-If an order has to be cancelled, the original customer must give his/her decision in writing of the cancellation of said order. In this event, the original customer/consignee will be liable to a penalty for said cancellation as indicated on the signed sales agreement. Please enquire for full details.
-The company reserved the right to supply a similar vehicle to any customer in terms of model, color (if possible) and accessories in the event that the originally intended unit becomes unavailable, due to delays (forseen or unforseen) or unavailability from our supply at the time of fulfilling all conditions agreed to in the sales agreement.
-The required deposit on all pre-owned vehicle orders stands at 1/3 of the total invoice value. Subsequent loan/financial approval for the remaining outstanding balance must be provided by a reputable financial institution, stamped and approved so as to facilitate early processing of your order and delivery upon arrival.
Failing to meet this criteria will result in the delivery being delayed and all storage/demurrage costs will be for the account of the original customer/consignee, should the vehicle already be landed in Trinidad. The company reserved the right to hold on all transactions until all agreed conditions in the Sales agreement are met.
Should the customer choose to cancel the order for the unit, the deposit will only refunded (as per contract) only after the vehicle is cleared and sold to another buyer.
BRAND NEW IMPORTED VEHICLES:
With respect to brand new vehicles, no import licence is necessary, however, the required deposit and subsequent loan/financial approval for the remaining outstanding balance must be provided so as to facilitate early delivery upon arrival.
Failing to meet this criteria will result in the delivery being delayed and all storage/demurrage costs will be for the account of the customer. Should the customer choose to cancel the order for the unit, the deposit will only refunded (as per contract) only after the vehicle is cleared and sold to another buyer.
The original customer must give his/her decision in writing of the cancellation of said order.
The company reserved the right to supply a similar vehicle to any customer in terms of year of manufacture, color and accessories in the event that the originally intended unit becomes unavailable.
Accordingly, the company reserves the right to vary the above conditions without notice.
